Those databases are bdb databases, produced from text files and need to be “make”. A simple make inside the /var/ze-filter/cdb and the modified databases are rebuilt and the filter reloaded. They are text files and imagine the lines like that:

And don't put a comment # after VAL! They are flat files, there is no grouping of lines, duplicated lines are possible. The last one wins.
